Dawgs add 2017 wide receiver commit

As if freshman moving in and gearing up for satellite camps wasn't keeping coaches busy enough, Georgia added a commitment on Wednesday morning from 2017 three-star athlete Matt Landers of Lakewood High School in St. Peterburg, Florida.

Landers confirmed the commitment to Dan McDonald of UGASports.com.

"I picked Georgia because I felt like that's where I wanted to be," Landers told McDonald via Twitter. "When I took a visit, I felt welcome almost like I was home. The coaches are great, the players are great, the academics are great , and the campus is beautiful. I loved it, my mom loved it, the whole family loved it. I feel I can better my talents at Georgia."

During that visit, wide receiver Jayson Stanley was Landers' host.

Landers, a 6-foot-3, 177 pound prospect, projects as a wideout at the next level, giving Georgia their third commitment at the position for the class of 2017, as he joins Trey Blount and Xavier Jenkins.

The tenth overall commitment of the class, Landers becomes the sixth offensive player to offer his pledge and the first player for the Bulldogs' class to come from out of state.

More to come.
