Smart brings in former Miami WR coach

Former Miami wide receivers coach Kevin Beard is joining the Bulldog program as a member of Kirby Smart’s support staff.

UGASports.com was able to confirm the hire, first reported by FootballScoop.com.

A former standout receiver with the Hurricanes, Beard is reunited with former Miami offensive coordinator James Coley, who joined Georgia as the Bulldogs’ wide receiver coach after being hired by Smart in late December.

Support staff coaches are not allowed to take part in any on-field coaching, but they can help with off-field analysis and various administrative duties.
